On Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM, the vibrant community of Cary, Wake, will come alive at Mills Park Middle School Track & Field. This event is perfect for young athletes aged 6-15, featuring a variety of mini races including 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and a thrilling 1-mile race, all organized by age groups.
Participants can look forward to an afternoon filled with friendly competition, fun running games, and the chance to earn medals for all, along with ribbons for the top three winners in each race. For just $30, your child can enjoy hydration, popsicles, and memorable moments captured in free race photos. With a cap of only 60 participants, spots are limited, so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to inspire your child’s love for running! OUR SPRING 2025 KIDS RACE is brought to you by TRIANGLE RUN SMART TRAINING, PRESENTED BY PACE YOURSELF RUN COMPANY AND THE RUNNING PTS.
Come join us for OUR KIDS TRACK RACE ON SUNDAY, MAY 18, 2025 FROM 2-4PM AT THE MILLS PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD IN CARY! We will have lots of mini races of varying distances on the track during the event, plus fun running games on the inner field for those waiting their turn to race. Races to include: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1-mile races (broken into age groups). Medals for all participants and ribbons for the top 3 winners of each individual race heat. Open to ages 6-15.
Water, Gatorade, and popsicles will be provided to the kids during/after the event.
COST OF THE RACE IS $30. No refund and no credit if you drop from the race after registering.
COST INCLUDES: participation in as many mini race events as you'd like to register your child for, a race bib to wear during the event, participation in running games, hydration and popsicles, and medals.
RACE IS CAPPED AT 60 PARTICIPANTS.
TRS COACHES WILL COORDINATE/COACH THIS EVENT. After signing your child in, we ask that parents go to the stands during the event.
LOCATION: MILLS PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL TRACK AND FIELD #1 (inside the track) - 441 Mills Park Drive, Cary, NC 27519
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
* 1:45-2:00pm - sign-in and get bibs
* 2-2:15pm - group warmups
* 2:20pm - 100m race
* 2:45pm - 200m race
* 3:00pm - 400m race
* 3:15pm - 800m race
* 3:30pm - 1 mile race
* 3:50pm - Awards, medals & popsicles, plus sign-out
FREE RACE PHOTOS from the event will be provided to all, courtesy of one of our kids' run parents, Sergiy Matsak. A photo album link will be emailed out to registrants a week after the race. Thank you, Sergiy!
