TYRONE IMPROVEMENT GROUP PRESENTS TYRONE AMAZING HISTORY RACE!

The Tyrone Amazing History Race is a challenge event that will take place on SEPTEMBER, 14 2024



In 2021, the Tyrone Improvement Group was formed as a group of business owners and citizens who want to see Tyrone thrive. Formed in 2021, TIG has raised money for the town itself, scholarships, families in need and veterans as well as many other things. Some of the events and additions you have seen around Tyrone has been hosted or sponsored by TIG, such as the Tyrone Food Truck Festival, flower baskets, veterans banners, spring clean up, and more.



The Tyrone Amazing History Race is a challenge, similar to the Amazing Race as seen on TV. Teams (maximum of four participants to a team) or individuals will navigate through town, interact with locals, and perform physical and mental challenges that often highlight aspects of the town's culture, history, and economy. Funds that are raised by this event will go towards TIGs general fund to continue to improve Tyrone and support those who are in need. Open donations will be available if you click on donate at the top of the page.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS:

8:30 AM : Check in and day of registration will take place at Tyrone History Society Railroad Park

10:00 AM: Tyrone Amazing History Race kicks off

NO LATER THAN 12:00 PM: AWARDS AND CLOSING CEREMONY



DAY OF EVENTS:

FOOD VENDORS: Juicy Butts & Others (TBA)



REGISTER BY SEPTEMBER 1ST TO BE GUARANTEED SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT.



Day of Race Registration: Race registration for the day of is only available from 8:30 - 9:30AM

Additional Shirts - Can be ordered on RunSignUp Store and picked up event day on September 14, 2024 at Tyrone Area Historical Society at 850 Pennsylvania Ave Tyrone, PA .



COST:

$25 per person (10 & Up)

$15 per child (9 & Under) - With Shirt

Free for Child (9 & under) - No shirt



*REGISTRATION INCLUDES A SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT: YOUTH S-L & ADULT S - 4XL



The race can be completed on a team with up to four individuals. Individuals 9 & Under must be accompanied by an adult. If you are signing up as a team please select the team registration to create your team or join an existing team.

CANCELLATION DISCLAIMER: In the event of a cancellation of Tyrone Amazing History Race, all proceeds will be given to Tyrone Improvement Group.



INCLEMENT WEATHER: We will be monitoring the forecast and in the event of inclement weather the race will be postponed to a later date provided by the Tyrone Improvement committee. Any updates will be posted on the race website and on the Facebook event.
