Join us on Saturday, September 13, 2025, for VALOR 22 in beautiful Flagstaff, Coconino, a heartfelt event dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of our heroes and raising awareness for veteran issues. Under the inspiring theme "UNITED BY SERVICE, BOUND BY VALOR," this event will feature a range of activities including a 1K walk/fun run, a competitive 5K run, and a challenging 22K competitive trail ruck, where participants will carry 22 pounds to symbolize the battle against veteran suicide.
All races will start and finish at the Arizona State Veterans Home located at 2100 N Gemini Rd, Flagstaff, AZ, creating a community-focused atmosphere filled with local vendors and engaging activities. As we commemorate the fallen of 9/11, we also aim to spread awareness around critical topics such as PTSD and TBI among service members. Make sure to participate in the pre-event ceremonies, connect with fellow community members, and enjoy food and beverages provided by local sponsors. This is not just a race, but a celebration of valor, resilience, and unity. Don't miss out on this memorable occasion!

VALOR 22 is hosted by the NAU ARMY ROTC CADET AXE ORGANIZATION, NAU AIRFORCE ROTC CADET HIGHLANDERS, AND THE MILITARY ORDER OF THE PURPLE HEART FOUNDATION #793, with support from the American Red Cross, MOAA, and City of Flagstaff Emergency Services.
13 SEPTEMBER 2025 will be a day of commemoration of the fallen during 9/11 and awareness of Veteran Suicide Prevention, PTSD, and TBI Awareness of all Service members that serve the United States in various uniforms.
Consisting of a 1K walk/fun run, 5K competitive run,s, a 22K competitive trail ruck (22lbs) in Buffalo Park.... All starting and finishing at the Arizona State Veterans Home @ 2100 N Gemini Rd, Flagstaff, AZ.
Local and non-local vendors will be setup in the Arizona State Veterans Home parking lot.

Once parked in our allocated parking lots, 1k walkers will meet at the Arizona State Veterans Home at 0700 for the ceremony. Race Begins 0800 Walk begins. -
Valor 22 - 5K Run

5K runners will park in the allocated parking and meet at the Arizona State Veterans Home for the 0700 Ceremony. 5K Race begins at 0800. -
Valor 22 - 22K Ruck March (22LBS)
Incl. $5.80 Fee & Commemorative Belt Buckle

The 22K Ruck will be completed with a load of 22lbs, is competitive in nature, and will culminate with awards for podium placements for male and female participants across brackets. EVERY Finisher will receive a commemorative "VALOR 22" belt buckle. Ruckers will validate their mandatory load of 22K before adding water. Ruckers will be emailed were to park and will be shuttled to the Arizona State Veterans Home for the 0700 Ceremony. The route will traverse different portions of the Buffalo Park Trail moving generally NE towards Elden MTN. Race Begins at 0800
