Organiser's Description
RUN FOR THE HILLS is a community run/walk event benefiting the kids of Victor Point School, a K-8 school in the Silver Falls School District. The event features races for all ages, from a flat 1-mile kids run to a 5K fun run/walk, to the more challenging 10K or 15K. All four races start and finish at the school and wind through the stunning Cascade foothills surrounding it.

CLOSEDThis 1-mile run is for boys and girls 12 years and under. The course primarily goes around the school track and a private driveway, both of which are gravel. It features mild, rolling hills. This out and back race starts at the school and heads south towards Waldo Hills Drive before turning back around towards the school. It has slight elevation changes but is a pretty fast course! Beautiful country scenery in the foothills of the Cascades are all along the course. -
5K Run/Walk

CLOSEDThis is a 6.21-mile out-and-back race along a scenic country ridge. To the east are the hills and canyons that lead to Silver Falls State Park and the Cascades. To the west are rolling hills sloping down to the Willamette Valley and view of the Coast Range beyond that. The turnaround is just past the course's high point, the picturesque Union Cemetery at 1,071 feet. Total ascent is 523 feet. -
15K Run

CLOSEDThis is a 9.32-mile route on both paved and gravel scenic country backroads. There is a total ascent of 700.83 ft and has a maximum elevation of 1,071.19 ft. There are a total of 5 climbs on this challenging 15K course ... it just might be the toughest 15K you've ever run ... challenging but so fun!
