Join us for the exciting Virtual Mileage Challenge for MS, taking place throughout July 2025, from Tuesday, July 1st to Wednesday, July 30th, in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Allegheny! This uplifting event is part of a series aimed at raising funds for the MS Society, inspired by personal journeys and the determination to support a great cause. Participants can choose to walk, run, or bike, tracking their mileage through any preferred tracking app. The challenge encourages intentional movement, with a focus on community support and motivation.
As part of this unique challenge, participants will have the opportunity to earn medals based on their overall mileage and specific activities. Plus, every donation made will enter you into a raffle for a chance to win a $50 Amazon Gift Card! Connect with fellow participants in the "Inner Warrior Group" for encouragement, accountability, and sharing your progress. IF YOU ARE TAKING TIME TO STOP AT THIS RACE PAGE, FIRST I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. THIS IS PART OF A VIRTUAL MILEAGE CHALLENGE SERIES THAT I DEVELOPED IN 2022 AFTER I WAS DX WITH MS THE FEB PRIOR TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR MY FIRST MARATHON AS A CHARITY RUNNER FOR THE MS SOCIETY. THERE ARE A TOTAL OF FOUR RACES IN THE MILEAGE CHALLENGE SERIES WITH THIS BEING THE FIRST.
OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS, I HAVE RAN TWO MARATHONS FOR THE MS SOCIETY AT THE PITTSBURGH MARATHON AND AM NOW TRAINING FOR THE PITTSBURGH HALF, AND WILL BE COMPETING IN THE FALMOUTH 7 MILE RACE IN MA THIS AUGUST ALL WHILE RAISING FUNDS FOR THE MS SOCIETY. ALL DONATIONS WILL GO DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE ASICS FALMOUTH RACE.
HOW IT WORKS..
PARTICIPANTS WILL TRACK THEIR MILEAGE BY MILE TYPE. THIS CAN INCLUDE WALK, RUN AND BIKE MILES. PARTICIPANTS MAY USE ANY TRACKING APP THAT THEY DESIRE, MILES MUST BE INTENTIONAL - STEPS DO NOT COUNT. THIS IS A SMALLER RUNNING CHALLENGE- SO WE TRUST AND HAVE ALWAYS USED THE HONOR SYSTEM.
After the mileage challenge starts you will be able to log your miles under the RESULTS section of the main race website. I also sent out an email with instructions when it starts and post in our online group, which is linked below.
The fourth and final challenge will also have a thank you raffle part of the challenge where all participants who donate will have a chance to win a $50.00 Amazon Gift Card !
CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Participants will also have the chance to motivate each other by joining our "Inner Warrior Group" This group is used for all mile challenges. It is a smaller group with tons of support! Post pictures, make an accountability partner or just follow and track.
