Based in Biddeford, York, this marks the 12th year of the Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and show support for the ostomy community. Gather your friends, family, and colleagues to join in this uplifting experience and help support the United Ostomy Associations of America’s vital mission. Registration includes a stylish unisex T-shirt and bib, and if you fundraise $150 or more, your registration fee will be refunded! Let’s come together to promote resilience, unity, and awareness on this special day!

JOIN THE MOVEMENT! ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 2026, LETS CELEBRATE OSTOMY AWARENESS DAY BY PARTICIPATING IN THE VIRTUAL RUN FOR RESILIENCE OSTOMY 5K. THIS MARKS THE 12TH YEAR OF OUR EMPOWERING VIRTUAL 5K EVENT!

Complete the 5k your waywalk, run, roll, swim, pedal, or even count your steps on the journey leading up to the big day. Whether outdoors or on a treadmill at home, the choice is yours to celebrate resilience and unity in the ostomy community.

Gather your friends, family, colleagues, or fellow ASG members to honor this milestone together. Every step you take helps support UOAAs vital mission. As a 501(c)(3) charity organization, your generous donations are tax deductible.

TOGETHER, LETS CREATE AWARENESS AND CELEBRATE 20+ YEARS OF PROGRESS, SUPPORT, AND RESILIENCE!

The Registration includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt and Bib. So don't delay, register today to order the T-Shirt size you'd like to wear at the event.

BIB-ONLY REGISTRATIONS: Those who register BEFORE NOON ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25TH will receive their 2026 Ostomy Awareness Day & Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k bib in the mail (USPS). If you register after this time, your Bib will be e-mailed to you.

_CREATE OR JOIN A RACE GROUP/TEAM! _

Once youve registered you also have the option to CREATE A NEW RACE GROUP/TEAM OR TO JOIN ONE thats already been established. THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO GET OTHERS IN YOUR COMMUNITY TO REGISTER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE RUN and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, join your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.

* Run, walk, roll or pedal a 5k (3.1 miles) route of your choice near you. Ask your family and friends to join you and create your own group or mini-event. You can even run/walk on a treadmill or ride a stationary bike to reach your goal!
* Share your success! Take pictures of yourself doing your virtual race and email them to us or tag us on Facebook or Instagram.
* Promote ostomy awareness and education to your family, friends and community on Ostomy Awareness Day. Post your experience to both UOAA's Facebook page and the _Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k _Facebook page!
