This beloved Thanksgiving tradition takes place around the picturesque Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, Middlesex. Runners of all ages can participate in the officially timed 5K race, while younger participants can join the untimed fun run designed for kids aged 10 and under. The event not only promises a day of fun and fitness but also supports the Wakefield Memorial High School cross country and track and field programs, making every step count for a great cause.
Don’t forget to bring your reusable water bottles, as the town water truck will be there to keep you hydrated! Participants who register by October 15th are guaranteed a race t-shirt, with additional sizes available for those who register by November 12th. Awards will be presented to the top three overall and age group winners, adding a competitive spirit to the day's festivities. WAKEFIELD TURKEY TROT
The Wakefield Track and Field Boosters is excited to host our annual 5K Turkey Trot around Lake Quannapowitt this Thanksgiving! We are thrilled to host this much loved tradition to the Wakefield community. All proceeds from the race support the Wakefield Memorial High School cross country and track and field programs. This 5K is officially timed and there is a shorter untimed fun run for kids age 10 and under!
**PLEASE BRING YOUR REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES! The town water truck will be there to fill them. Thank you!
