Join us for the inspiring Walk In My Shoes 2024 event on Thursday, April 11th, in beautiful Sarasota, Florida! This incredible 1,500-mile journey across the state kicks off in Key West, and we're inviting you to be part of this meaningful cause. Walk for 3 miles or more as we unite to prevent child sexual abuse and support survivors on their healing journeys.
Starting at the Safe Place & Rape Crisis Center at 8:00 AM, participants will begin their walk at 8:45 AM, covering a distance of 3.1 miles to Kane's Furniture, where a refreshing water break awaits. For those eager to make an even bigger impact, additional miles are available! As April is designated as National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, your participation plays a vital role in raising awareness and empowering communities. Registration closes online at 4:00 PM on April 10th, but feel free to bring friends along to register on-site. Let’s walk together for a brighter future!

Come walk with us! Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2024 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida beginning in Key West! Walk for 3 miles or moreevery step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.
#WHYWEWALK: Together, were walking during the month of April National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month to raise awareness, educate communities, and empower survivors.
We'll start registration at Safe Place & Rape Crisis Center at 8:00 am on Thursday, April 11, 2024, and begin walking at 8:45 am. We'll walk 3.1 miles to Kane's Furniture where we'll take a water break. Those feeling adventurous can continue on with us for even more miles. Registration will close online at 4:00 pm on April 10th but you can still bring friends to register at the walk!
