This inspiring event, organized by the Laurens Kids foundation, is part of a monumental 1,500-mile trek across Florida aimed at raising awareness for National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Every step taken will contribute to the fight against child sexual abuse and will support survivors on their journey to healing. The walk will conclude at Manatee Children's Services, with an UBER code provided to ensure all participants can easily return to the starting point. Join us in making a difference—every step counts!

Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2025 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

We'll start registration at the Manatee County Tax Collector's West Manatee Office at 11:30 AM on Thursday, April 10th, and begin to walk at 12:30 PM. Our walk is 4 miles, and we'll end at Manatee Children's Services (1227 9th Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205). Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Ride Share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration.
