The course, renowned for its breathtaking views of the 45-acre lake, consists of approximately 90% wooded single and double track, along with 10% open cross-country and jeep roads. Participants can expect to encounter a modest elevation gain of 446 feet on the 5K route and a notable 1285 feet on the 10-mile course, all while enjoying the winter scenery. Plus, all registrants will receive a cozy pair of winter gloves and a stylish branded mug to warm up those chilly days! The CATs are excited to bring you this brand new winter race offering! The inaugural running of the Walnut Creek 5K & 10miler is suitable for a wide variety of ages and paces. If youre a seasoned trail runner, this race has the vibe you love! If this is your first trail race, this race has the vibe youll soon love! We are excited show you the beautiful trails that 525-acre Walnut Creek Park has to offer. As a bonus, it's held on the beautiful and iconic TJ100k course- come cut your trail teeth in the footsteps of legends!
The race is approximately 90% wooded single track/double track and 10% open cross country/jeep road and features spectacular views of the 45 acre lake on site. Course links below!
Registrants will receive a pair of winter gloves and a branded mug for those warm winter beverages! Due to ordering timeline, glove sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after January 14th.
Please note there are no refunds and the event will take place rain or shine. Inclement weather affecting the safety of participants or causing adverse trail impacts may cause delay or rescheduling of race.
