This exciting fundraising event is dedicated to supporting Black Mountain Primary and Elementary Schools' running programs, as well as other school communities affected by recent weather-related disasters. After the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene, our community is coming together to show resilience and compassion by giving back to those in need.
The 5K race will kick off and conclude at Black Mountain Primary School's Track, following a scenic route that features sidewalks and the picturesque greenway of Black Mountain. The course is mostly flat with a few gentle hills, making it accessible for participants of all ages. Please note that all children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult on the course. Don't miss your chance to be part of this uplifting event—online registration closes on October 23rd at 11:59 PM, with limited on-site registration available starting at 7:00 AM on race day. Organiser's Description
Join us for a fundraising 5k supporting BLACK MOUNTAIN PRIMARY AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS RUNNING PROGRAMS as well as OTHER SCHOOL COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY WEATHER RELATED DISASTERS. On October 25, 2024, our schools returned after Hurricane Helene. We were shown tremendous love and support from other communities. While our community is still healing one year later, we feel driven to give back to other communities healing from recent weather related events. Lets lace up and run to show our resiliency. Proceeds from this race will both support our students, and be shared with other communities who are in their time of need.
