Event summary
Whether you’re ready to challenge yourself with the 10K, which includes two loops with a turnaround just before Clarendon Road, or prefer to enjoy a more leisurely pace on the 5K walk, this event is perfect for everyone! Enjoy the support of enthusiastic volunteers, plenty of hydration stations, and the camaraderie of fellow participants. Plus, all finishers will take home a medal to commemorate their achievement. Don’t miss this chance to shake off the winter blues and make a difference in the community—all while supporting the Wayne A. Burlison Memorial Scholarship. Organiser's Description
Wolfpack Multisport is hosting a 3.17 mile event to honor Wayne A. Burlison. The race has a scheduled start time of 10:00 am. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be contributed to the Wayne A. Burlison Memorial Scholarship, established in 2014 by Waynes wife and son.
The race path takes the runners into the Mt. Albion Cemetery, with rolling terrain and beautiful scenery. The historic Mt. Albion Cemetery is a rural cemetery established in the 1840s on a glacial drumlin (landforms composed primarily of glacial till). In 1976 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district. As you run, you will pass Wayne's site, energetic volunteers to cheer you on, and an amply supplied water station.
If you are not up for a run, we would still love to have you join us for the walk on our 5K course. The 10K course is two loops- the turnaround just before Clarendon Road. Course map can be found here [https://certifiedroadraces.com/certificate/?type=r&id=2613].
