The 9th annual Weir River Farm Trail Run is Sunday, October 19, 2025 and includes running the trails of Weir River Farm and neighboring Whitney and Thayer Woods. There are 3 race distances to choose from 10 miles, 6.0 miles and 3.4 miles.
COME FOR THE RACE... STAY FOR THE CIDER DONUTS! Post-race cider donuts are a staple of the fall races in the Barn to Run series. Bring the kids to see the animals, free pumpkin painting and to see all the farm has to offer!

All races in the Weir River Farm begin on Turkey Hill Road across from the Turkey Hill greenhouse and right next to the farm's CSA pick-up house. All races will finish next to the Weir River Farm red barn. About 0.4 mile of these runs is on Turkey Hill Lane (a paved road), but the rest is all on trails. The trails include some single track sections that can be technical in parts (exposed roots and rocks), but features plenty of wider trails of hard packed dirt, pine needles, leaves, loose gravel, etc. These runs also include running a short section of the Whitney Spur Rail Trail. Sights along the way include a terrific view of Boston from atop Turkey Hill, Bigelow Boulder, Odes Den and livestock from the farm. -
