This unique track event is designed exclusively for senior living communities and has grown from a humble gathering of 19 seniors training for a local 5K to a national competition featuring over 1,000 participants! QUALIFYING IS EASY PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 50 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND ABLE TO REPEAT THE STATEMENT: AGE IS JUST A NUMBER, AND I AM SO MUCH MORE THAN A NUMBER!
THE COMPETITION IS BROKEN DOWN INTO SEVERAL DIFFERENT DISTANCES AND VARIOUS AGE CATEGORIES INCLUDING A WHEELCHAIR DIVISION! PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE STOCKED UP SWAG BAGS, T-SHIRTS, AND MEDALS.
