What began as a small group of 19 seniors training for a local 5K has blossomed into a vibrant national competition with over 1,000 participants!
The Wisdom Warrior Challenge offers a variety of race distances and age categories, including a dedicated wheelchair division, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun. Participants will enjoy stocked swag bags, stylish t-shirts, and medals that celebrate their achievements. This uplifting day not only promotes physical fitness but also strengthens community bonds through sponsorships, awards ceremonies, and vendor expos. THE WISDOM WARRIOR CHALLENGE (WWC) IS A UNIQUE TRACK EVENT FOR SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES! WHAT STARTED AS 19 SENIORS TRAINING TOGETHER FOR A LOCAL 5K NOW INVOLVES MORE THAN 1,000+ PARTICIPANTS IN A NATIONAL COMPETITION! AND ITS ABSOLUTELY FREE TO EVERY PARTICIPANT THANKS TO OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS!
PARTICIPATING SENIOR COMMUNITIES ARE GIVEN ALL THE TOOLS REQUIRED TO HOST A WWC TRACK EVENT FOR THEIR RESIDENTS THAT WILL EARN THEM POINTS IN BOTH A LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMPETITION!
QUALIFYING IS EASY PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 50 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND ABLE TO REPEAT THE STATEMENT: AGE IS JUST A NUMBER, AND I AM SO MUCH MORE THAN A NUMBER!
THE COMPETITION IS BROKEN DOWN INTO SEVERAL DIFFERENT DISTANCES AND VARIOUS AGE CATEGORIES INCLUDING A WHEELCHAIR DIVISION! PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE STOCKED UP SWAG BAGS, T-SHIRTS, AND MEDALS.
THE WWC IS A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO ENGAGE SENIOR COMMUNITY RESIDENTS IN HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMS, AS WELL AS INVOLVE THE LOCAL COMMUNITY THROUGH SPONSORSHIPS, AWARDS CEREMONIES AND VENDOR EXPOS!
