The festivities kick off at 7:30 A.M. with race check-in, followed by the 5K race starting at 8:30 A.M. A 1 Mile Walk will commence at 9:30 A.M., ensuring everyone can join in the fun. After the races, families are invited to enjoy u-pick blueberries and indulge in delicious pancakes and breakfast sausage served by the Kiwanis Club of Plant City, with proceeds benefiting local charities. With an awards ceremony at 10:30 A.M. and a commitment to safety throughout the event, the Berry Bolt promises to be a delightful day of community spirit and healthy activity. Hosted by Wish Farms in Plant City, the inaugural Berry Bolt 5K Run For Sweetness will benefit the United Food Bank of Plant City and the Wish Farms Family Foundation.
This is a cross-country style course around the scenic Wish Farms' headquarters and blueberry farm. It will include a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to: pavement, grass, and small rock. Following the race, the blueberry field will be open for the community to u-pick and enjoy family fun. The Kiwanis Club of Plant City will be serving fresh pancakes and breakfast sausage for $10, with all proceeds going to charity.
