YMCA of Greater Rochester & UR Medicine Present: Runnin' of the Green

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the highly anticipated Runnin' of the Green, taking place from March 15 to March 22, 2025, in the vibrant city of Rochester, Monroe! This exciting event kicks off on March 15 at 9:30 AM, starting at the Mercantile on Main, where the atmosphere will be electric with the sounds of bagpipes and the thrill of runners hitting the pavement. Celebrating its 27th year, the Runnin' of the Green features a scenic 5-mile out-and-back course along the picturesque Genesee River, marking Rochester's unofficial start to the racing season.

Participants can choose to run in person or virtually, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun! All registrants will receive a coveted Runnin' of the Green race medal, a stylish cotton long sleeve shirt (be sure to sign up by February 25 to guarantee your size), and access to themed post-race snacks and beverages, including delicious green donuts and refreshing cider.
