Join the movement for racial justice with YWCA Princeton's Steps for Equity Walkathon, taking place from March 31 to April 23, 2025, in beautiful Princeton, Mercer. This month-long virtual event invites participants to walk or run at their own pace, whether solo or as part of a team, all while raising awareness and funds for vital racial justice initiatives. With flexible participation options, you can track your distance over multiple days, making every step count toward creating positive change in our community.
Early bird registration is just $10 until March 31, and participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed after April 11). Exciting prizes await top fundraisers, those who log the most miles, and the largest teams, all celebrated at the Stand Against Racism event on April 24. If you’re unable to pay the registration fee, scholarships are available to ensure everyone can lend their voice to this important cause. Let’s come together to educate, empower, and take meaningful action for equity—every step truly matters!

Racial justice wont waitand neither should you. This April, take a stand and take action with Steps 4 Equity, YWCA Princetons month-long movement to engage, educate, and empower our community. Whether you participate in one step or all four, your involvement makes a difference.
Join us for our VIRTUAL STEPS FOR EQUITY WALKATHON: Walk solo or form a team to raise awareness and funds for YWCA Princetons racial justice initiatives. Every step counts! Prizes awarded for top fundraisers, most miles walked, and biggest teams!
COST:
* EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION before Monday March 31st: $10
* Registration fee after Sunday March 30th: $15
* Upon registering you will get your own fundraising page which will allow you to collect donations.
* If you would like to participate in the walkathon but are unable to pay the registration fee, please note that scholarships are available. We encourage you to reach out to us at [email protected] for more information.
DAY/ TIME: Walking/ Running can take place any time from Monday March 31st - Wednesday April 23rd. You can enter your distance all at once or on multiple days.
TEAMS: Individuals may form or join teams if they wish.
AWARDS: Will be presented at our STAND AGAINST RACISM event for TOP FUNDRAISERS, MOST MILES WALKED, AND BIGGEST TEAMS on Thursday, April 24th.
GIVEAWAY: All participants who register will receive a complimentary t-shirt! However, if you register after Friday, April 11th, T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed. T-shirts can be picked up at the STAND AGAINST RACISM EVENT on Thursday, April 24th.
