Half Ironman Triathlons: Distances Swim - 1.2 miles (1.9 km) Bike - 56 miles (90 km) Run 13.1 miles (21.1 km, ie a Half Marathon) The Half Ironman triathlon is the perfect distance for any triathlete looking to step up to middle distance triathlons. Long enough to be a true test of endurance and mental strength but achievable for anyone willing to put in the hours over a few months. Completing 70.3 miles (or 113 kms if you are that way inclined) of swimming, cycling and running is certainly no mean feat.
