Expect a total elevation gain and loss of approximately 1,200 feet, which will test your endurance and skills. With one aid station located about halfway through the course, be sure to bring your own water to stay hydrated. This is a challenging trail run with beautiful terrain and breathtaking scenery. The 10K race begins at 10,000 ft at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass. The course begins by heading uphill on USFS dirt roads and 2 track, and then then heads downhill on single-track, ending on a cross country single-track. The total elevation gain and loss are about ~1,200 feet each.
*Although this race is listed as a 10k, the actual distance comes out to 6.8 miles. We will have one aid station on the course about 3.4 miles in (the 5k race option does not have an aid station). We HIGHLY recommend that you bring your own water.
