10th Annual Superintendent's 5K Challenge Race For Education

10TH ANNUAL SUPERINTENDENTS 5K CHALLENGE: RACE FOR EDUCATION

The 10th Annual Superintendents 5K Challenge is a Run/Walk promoting health and wellness in our community. Participants include parents, children, teachers, and administrators representing over 200 public schools. All proceeds benefit the participating schools and groundbreaking school district initiatives.

The Superintendents 5K is designed to help our schools receive funds for their fundraising efforts. A portion of the proceeds received from registration fees are given directly back to participating schools. Since 2008, FNEI has raised over $372,000 for schools in the Superintendents 5K Challenge: Race for Education. At our 2024 Race for Education, we were joined by nearly 5,600+ runners and raised almost $50,000 for M-DCPS schools. With your help, we can make the 2025 event the best one yet!

* Miami-Dade County School District - 4th largest in the nation
* 200+ Schools participate in the Sups 5K Challenge
* Downtown Miami final Location TBD on March 1, 2025.
* Events include:5K Run/Walk - Student 1 mile (Ages 10-12) and Kids Dash (Ages 2-9)

6:00 A.M. RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP/RACE DAY REGISTRATION OPENS
_ ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PICKED UP FROM TEAM CAPTAINS_
7:10 A.M. WARM UP
7:30 A.M. ADULT & STUDENT 5K RACE STARTS PROMPTLY ON BISCAYNE BLVD.
8:30 A.M. STUDENT 1 MILE START (AGES 8-12) STARTS PROMPTLY ON BISCAYNE BLVD. PREREGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY.
_ONLY STUDENTS MAY RUN IN THE 1 MILE. NO PARENTS ALLOWED. THIS WILL BE A TIMED EVENT AND PARTICIPANT MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE MILE CATEGORY TO PARTICIPATE._
9:00 A.M. KIDS DASH START (AGES 2-9) GATHER AT MAIN STAGE AREA. PREREGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY.
_ ONLY CHILDREN AGES 2-9 MAY RUN IN THE KIDS DASH. NO PARENTS ALLOWED. THEY WILL NOT BE RUNNING FAR.
2-3 YEAR OLD (100 METERS)
4-5 YEAR OLDS (200 METERS)
6-7 YEAR OLDS (400 METERS)
8-9 YEAR OLDS (600 METERS)

**ONLY STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED ON THE 5K COURSE FOR SMALL CHILDREN** NO SCOOTERS, SKATEBOARDS, BICYCLES, ROLLER BLADES OR PETS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED ON COURSE
