Organiser's Description
Now in it’s 14th year, the Mad Cow 5K Race in Nelson NY is one of the traditional summer events in the area.
NEW START TIME: The race will begin at 8:30 am on Sat. August 5th.
This race is a proud member of the Rt 20 Challenge Race series. Running through the rolling hills and farmland, the race course begins in the hamlet of Nelson, includes a section of historic US Rt.20, and ends at the Nelson Town Hall Park. Refreshments, door prizes and awards will be given immediately following the race at the Town Hall.
Race logistics will be provided by Leone Timing.
All registrations will be on-line only with Runsignup, except in-person on race day.
Packet pick up will be from 6:45 am . until 8:15 am at Town Hall on race day 8/5.
This year’s race proceeds will benefit the Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps (CAVAC)
On-line registration opens 3/1. Signups made before June 1 will be $30, from June 1 until July 28 will be $40, and $45 for in-person registration on race day. Hi-tech t-shirt designed by Jonny Haines, and printed by Cazgear, will be $15 extra, pre-ordered before 7/28.
This year’s sponsors will be providing food, beverages, swag, door prizes, and discounts to all registered racers,
