This exciting event kicks off at 2:00 p.m. and features a thrilling 5K run/walk followed by a 1/2-Mile Fun Run for the little ghouls and goblins. With a registration fee of just $25 for the 5K (increasing to $30 on-site) and $10 for the Fun Run, everyone can join in on the fun. Participants will receive a long-sleeve t-shirt, and there will be awards for the top finishers in various age categories, plus a costume contest that promises plenty of treats for the best-dressed participants! The 15TH ANNUAL SPOOKY SPRINT 5K at Catawba College Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, NC - 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025! There will be a 1/2-Mile Fun Run (two laps around the track) immediately following the 5k!
PROCEEDS from the race will go to our youth programs, making a difference in the lives of children in our community. The Service Above Self Awards recognize our youth ages 5 to 18 for their service to others. Every year, Rowan Rotary sponsors students form our local high schools to attend a leadership-training event.
ROWAN ROTARY CLUB OF ROWAN COUNTY is a part of Rotary International. As Rotarians, we unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
5K REGISTRATION FEE: $25 (mail-in through October 19 and online through October 25)
$30 (on-site on October 26)
FUN RUN REGISTRATION FEE: $10
AWARDS (5K): 1st overall male and female - $50 and memento.
Medals will be given to the top 3 in each of the following divisions for male and female runners: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & above
Overall winners not eligible for age group awards. Awards will not be mailed.
AWARDS (FUN RUN): 1st overall male and female - trophy. 2nd & 3rd overall male and female - medal. All fun run participants will receive a medal.
T-SHIRTS 5k run/walk participants receive a long sleeve T-shirt.
CHECK-IN: 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. check-in and race packet pick up at the registration desk in Catawba College Stadium.
COSTUME CONTEST: Contest for best costumes, children and adults, judged by a panel of Rotarians. Adult winner will receive a $50 gift card. Children will receive prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
CANCELLATION POLICY: In case of inclement weather, the race may be delayed for up to one hour or canceled if we determine existing conditions pose a safety hazard for the participants.
