Join us for the 17th Annual Gobbler Gallop Trail Run/Walk on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025, in the picturesque Saginaw Valley! This exciting event has become a cherished family tradition, bringing together runners and walkers of all ages to enjoy a beautiful single-loop 5K course along the scenic Tittabawassee River. Young participants can also take part in the 1-mile Youth Run, designed for kids in grades K-8, which promises to be a delightful experience in the park.
Registration is affordable, with online fees starting at just $5 per participant until October 31, and $10 from November 1 to November 22. Race day registration will be available from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM for $20. All participants will have the chance to earn custom finisher medals, and the top male and female winners of each race will receive delicious pies! Don’t forget to wear your Thanksgiving costume for an extra dose of fun—rumor has it a big turkey will be joining the festivities! Organiser's Description
A fun Thanksgiving morning race that has become a family tradition for families in the Saginaw Valley Area. The 5k course is a single loop on a beautiful, wooded trail along the scenic Tittabawassee River. The 1m Youth Run is a Single loop in the back of the park.

$5 per participant until 10/31
$10 per participant 11/1 through 11/22
$20 per participant 1/23 through 11/25
Race day registration will take place from 8:00 - 9:00 am at the pavilion at the back of the park and cost $20 per participant.
Race shirts can be added on to each registration for an extra $10 charge. Shirts will not be guaranteed after 11/1. Once again, this year the shirts will be a long sleeve moisture wicking shirt.

1 mile youth (k-8th) trail run is at 9:00am
5K trail run and walk ~ 9:20am
No frills, no age group awards, but an accurately measured course, a timed race with results and custom finisher medals to the top 5 finishers per gender in each race. In addition, the individual male and female winners of the 5k Run, 5k Walk and 1 Mile Run will each receive either a pumpkin or apple pie.
Come dressed in Thanksgiving costume for extra fun... rumor has it there will be at least one big turkey!
ALL proceeds benefit the Hawks Running Club LLC, support the youth running movement in the Saginaw Township Area!
