Choose between a 5K walk/run or a 10K bike ride, and complete your chosen distance at your own pace and location throughout the month. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage in physical activity while supporting a worthy cause—the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia. With a minimum donation of $30, you’ll receive a stylish Community Heartbeat 5K event T-shirt, and every contribution is tax-deductible. Welcome to the 2024 ANPA DAY EVENT!
September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month.
This year, _THE ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN PHYSICIANS IN THE AMERICAS (ANPA)_ day will support efforts to raise awareness of sickle cell disease in our community.
ANPA was incorporated in 1995 for educational, scientific, and charitable purposes as a tax-exempt non-profit organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ANPA GEORGIA is the leading association of Nigerian healthcare providers in Georgia.
The 2024 ANPA Day is a virtual event to SUPPORT SICKLE CELL FOUNDATION OF GEORGIA. Participants can choose EITHER 5K WALK/RUN OR A 10K BIKE RIDE. Races can be done individually or as a team.
For your generous donation of $30 and above, you will receive one of our Community Heartbeat 5K event T-shirts. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE.
TO REGISTER AND SUPPORT, follow the instructions below:
1.) Register to run/walk the 5K distance or bike ride the 10K distance, at your own choosing location. You have the whole month of September to both register and complete the distance. THE EVENT RUNS FROM 12:00 A.M. SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2024 THROUGH 11:59 P.M. SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2024.
2.) If you want your times published on our leader board, please submit your times via RunSignup. We are using the honor system.
FUN NEWS: Early birds will have a chance to receive their shirts early! If you register before September 1st, your shirt will be available for pick-up or mailed to you no later than September 15th. If you register AFTER September 1st, shirts will be mailed after the completion of the event (11:59 p.m. September 30, 2024).
