Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the 2025 GCCA Annual Run For the Beads 5K, happening on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, in the vibrant city of Biloxi, Harrison! This exciting event, hosted by the Gulf Coast Carnival Association and the Gulf Coast Running Club, promises a day filled with fun, fitness, and festivities. Kicking off at 8:45 AM with a 1/4 Mile for the little ones, the 5K race will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by the exhilarating Beer Mile at 10:00 AM.
Participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere, complete with awards for the top three male and female finishers, as well as recognition for the top team. The Beer Mile, open to those 21 and over, will follow the same 1/4 Mile course and includes beer provided by FEB Distributing, with non-alcoholic options available. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, the Run For the Beads 5K has something for everyone. Registration fees are affordable, starting at just $20 for GCRC members and $15 for kids under 12

* Must be 21+
* Beer provided by FEB Distributing
* Awards for top 3 male, top 3 female, and top team
* Beer mile will follow the same 1/4 mile course
* NA options available
* Awards for all the normal divisions in 5k and 1/4 mile (see race flyer for details).

Race walkers must follow USATF race walking guidelines. "Race walking requires the competitor to maintain contact with the ground at all times and requires the leading leg to be straightened as the foot makes contact with the ground. It must remain straightened until the leg passes under the body." -
