Join us for the 2025 Jog Your Memory 5K/Walk on Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the scenic town of Prestonsburg, Floyd! This uplifting event kicks off at 10 AM from the Prestonsburg Municipal parking lot, located at 155 North Lake Drive. Participants can choose to run or walk the timed 5K race, or opt for a leisurely one-mile non-competitive walk. Early registration is just $20, with the day-of fee at $25, and groups of 10 or more can enjoy a $5 discount per person!
This event is not only a fantastic opportunity to get active and enjoy the outdoors, but it also supports a crucial cause: raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Participants can honor loved ones by adding their names to a special "In Memory Of" section on the event shirts, with registrations required by August 22 to guarantee a shirt. Organiser's Description
The 2025 JOG YOUR MEMORY 5K/Walk will be Saturday September 13, 2025. The 5K will begin at the Prestonsburg Municipal parking lot at 155 North Lake Drive in Prestonsburg at the city stage at 10am.
* Early registration will be $20
* $25 day of the event
* Groups of 10 or more will receive $5 off registration for each person. Please keep in mind, if you are registering with a group, ALL MUST register at the same time to get the discount. You can't sign up individually if you want to get the group discount.
You are welcome to run or walk the 5K portion, it will be timed. We also have a ONE mile Non-competitive walk.
* Shirts will be ordered August 22nd, so you will need to be registered by that date to be GUARANTEED a shirt.
*If youve lost someone to any type of Dementia and would like to add their name to our special In Memory Of section on the back of the shirt. (Please email the name to [email protected] )

However, Alzheimers is not just a disease of old age. Younger-onset (also known as Early-Onset) Alzheimers affects people younger than the age 65. Alzheimers is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and is the most common form of Dementia.
