Join us for the 2025 Town of Windermere Centennial Celebration on Saturday, October 11th, 2025! This vibrant event, taking place in the picturesque town of Windermere, Florida, invites runners and walkers of all ages to participate in the Orlando Health 5K and 10K Run Among the Lakes. Set against a stunning backdrop of Lake Butler, Lake Down, and Lake Bessie, the race features scenic routes that wind through charming dirt roads, under a canopy of century-old oaks, and along the beautiful lakes.
The 10K race kicks off at 7:00 AM, followed by the 5K at 7:30 AM, allowing participants to either run or walk. For our youngest athletes, a free Kids Run is available for children aged 7 and under, no registration required. All participants will receive a custom t-shirt and a unique commemorative finisher medal. Remember to register early, as spots are limited to 1,200 participants, and this event is expected to fill up quickly! Celebrate Windermere's rich history and community spirit while enjoying a fun-filled day for the whole family!

Windermere is located on a narrow strip of land surrounded by Lake Butler, Lake Down, and Lake Bessie. One hundred years ago, visionaries such as Cal Palmer, J. Howard Johnson, Howard Lyon, and Stanley Scott played key roles in incorporating our beautiful town. Over the past century, Windermere has experienced significant growth and development, establishing itself as a thriving community while maintaining the charm of its dirt roads and lake shores.

This scenic run takes participants through Windermeres dirt roads, passing under a canopy of century-old oaks and along our lakes. This family-friendly event benefits the Town of Windermere Parks and Recreation.

Participants have two race options:
- The **10K** starts at 7:00 AM and is a run-only event. We ask that participants complete the course within one hour and thirty minutes.
- The **5K** starts at 7:30 AM and participants can choose to either run or walk.
The **Kids Run** is free for all children aged 7 and younger, and no registration is required. Please note that Kids Run participants will not receive an event t-shirt.
All runners will receive a custom t-shirt and a unique commemorative finisher medal.
To guarantee your correct t-shirt size, please register before August 10th, 2025.
**Registration is capped at 1,200 runners/walkers, and this race will fill up quickly!**
Awards:
Awards are given to the Top 3 Overall Male & Female, Male Masters & Female Masters. Age group awards are given in 10-year increments for both the 5K and 10K. Each participant is eligible for only one award.
