Unlike traditional races, the Thunder Up Ultras offers a flexible format with no set race course—participants will create their own ultra-distance experience by completing as many Thunder Loops as they desire. There are no entry fees, medals, or official timing, allowing everyone to focus on personal goals and the joy of running. Join fellow enthusiasts, wear your Thunder gear with pride, and embrace the spirit of community as you run your distance, your way. Whether you're pushing for a personal best or simply enjoying the camaraderie, every step contributes to uplifting the Oklahoma City running community. Taking place on May 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., this unique event unfolds at the heart of Oklahoma City around the Paycom Center, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder, in support of the Thunder Community Foundation.
Theres no traditional race course herejust Thunder Loops. Runners will circle the Paycom Arena as many times as they choose, building their own ultra-distance experience loop by loop. Whether youre aiming for your longest day on foot or just want to log meaningful miles with fellow fans, the distance is entirely up to you.
This is a true grassroots ultra:
* NO ENTRY FEE
* NO MEDALS
* NO OFFICIAL TIMING
Each participant tracks their own time, distance, and number of loops, focusing on personal goals, community spirit, and the joy of running. The emphasis is on participation, perseverance, and supporting a great causenot competition.
Come solo or bring friends, wear your Thunder gear proudly, and run as longor as faras you want. However many loops you complete, every step helps Thunder Up the Oklahoma City running community.
