Join us for the exciting 2026 Walk, Run, Read for Literacy event on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, Kootenai! This vibrant community gathering is not just a race; it's a celebration of literacy and a fantastic opportunity for the whole family to get involved. The event features a 5K run/walk along the scenic Idaho Centennial Trail, along with a delightful Kids Dash for children aged 12 and under—where kids 6 and under participate for free!
As we celebrate the 5th annual event, all proceeds will directly support The Literacy Project of North Idaho, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing adult literacy and English language skills in our community. Beyond the races, enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with games, activities, and an annual book sale where you can stock up on your next great read. Plus, there are prizes for the top 3 finishers in the 5K and medals for all Kids Dash participants! Join us in making a difference, one step at a time, and help change lives through the power of literacy!

WERE BACK AND READY TO RUN FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
Kick off your fall event calendar with a fun-filled morning for the whole family, all in support of The Literacy Project of North Idaho. A volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping adults in our community improve their literacy and English language skills. 100% of race proceeds go directly to support our learners and literacy programs.
This years 5th annual event features a 5K run, as well as our popular Kids Dash, celebration and Grand Reveal from our 2 Million Page Reading Challenge, and a vibrant community gathering in Coeur d'Alene City Park/Fort Sherman Park.

COURSE INFO
The 5k race begins in Coeur d'Alene City Park and follow a scenic out-and-back route along the Idaho Centennial Trail toward Post Falls. The 5K route features a turnaround just before the Highway 95 bridge, with water stations along the way.
The Kids Dash will take place within the park on a fun, safe loop course perfect for little runners.

This 5k course starts in CDA's City Park and continues down the Centennial Trail under the 95 bridge and back to the park. The course is paved. Strollers and wheelchairs are welcomed! No pets on the course. -
