Join us for the 28th Annual Sprint for Life 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Harris County. This vibrant event aims to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research, having successfully contributed over $5.8 million to the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program since its inception in 1998.
The day kicks off with the 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m., followed by a variety of fun activities including the Sprint for Sprouts Kids' Run, which features a Pep Rally and Tot Trot! Enjoy a post-race celebration with food, fun, and an awards ceremony. The event is particularly special for ovarian cancer survivors, as the first 100 registrants in this category will enjoy free entry courtesy of Ovarcome. Founded in 1998, Sprint for Life has two missions: to raise awareness and research funds for ovarian cancer. Hosted by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Sprint for Life has raised more than $5.8 million for the Blanton-Davis Ovarian Cancer Research Program, one of the world's leading efforts dedicated to ovarian cancer research. Funding has allowed researchers to develop new clinical trials, understand the biology of ovarian cancer and develop new therapies for the disease.
