Event summary
Since its inception in 2009, the Run for Down Syndrome has grown tremendously, raising nearly $600,000 to support the Down syndrome community. Now in its 17th year, the event will benefit Team Heart & Sole, which is dedicated to providing inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families to engage in endurance racing events throughout Ohio. Organiser's Description
The Run for Down Syndrome was started in 2009 by the running group 2FGR (Two Fat Guys Running), with the very modest goal to raise $5,000 in support of the Down syndrome community. Now going on its 17th year, the 2FGR Run for Down Syndrome has donated nearly $600,000 in its first 16 years.
Starting in 2025, the event benefits Team Heart & Sole.
Team Heart & Soles mission is to provide inclusive opportunities for individuals with disabilities, their families, and friends to participate in endurance racing events across Ohio, while building authentic relationships through teamwork.
