Event summary
Join us for the 2nd Annual Veterans Day 5K & 10K Run/Walk/Ruck on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the picturesque Lake Corpus Christi State Park in Mathis, San Patricio. This event is more than just a race; it’s a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving our country. Participants can choose between a scenic 5K run/walk or a challenging 10K ruck march, designed to honor our veterans by carrying the weight they often bear.
Experience breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding Texas landscapes while soaking in the spirit of community, pride, and gratitude. Last year, we proudly raised $2,750 for the City of Mathis, and this year, we aim to surpass that goal, with proceeds benefitting a local Veterans Non-Profit Organization that supports active-duty and retired service members. Whether you’re running, walking, or rucking with friends and family, your participation makes a difference in the lives of our veterans. Lace up your shoes and join us as we run and march for freedom, honor, and the legacy of our heroes!
