Get ready for a heart-pumping experience at the 3rd Annual Sweetheart 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, in the charming city of Brentwood, Contra Costa! This exciting event invites participants of all ages to lace up their running shoes and join the fun along the beautiful Marsh Creek Trail. With a race start time at 9:00 AM sharp, the atmosphere will be buzzing with energy as families and friends come together for a day of fitness and festivity.
Before the race kicks off, enjoy a warm-up session from 8:30 to 8:45 AM and savor a delicious pancake breakfast served from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The day will also feature a champagne toast at 10:00 AM and an awards ceremony at 10:15 AM, celebrating the participants' achievements. Please note that this family-friendly event welcomes strollers, but for the safety of all, dogs will not be allowed. Mark your calendars and make sure to register by 9:30 AM on race day to secure your spot and contribute to a great cause, as a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Brentwood Rotary Endowment Fund. The course will follow the Marsh Creek Trail. Racers will exit Veterans Park and turn left onto the trail. The turnabout is almost but not quite to Concord Ave.
( Our route is subject to change and is based on weather conditions on that day!)
You can check in on race day at the registration/check-in table - please arrive earlier.
Doggies ARE NOT allowed to participate due to safety reasons. As much as we LOVE and ADORE our furry friends - we want to ensure the safety
of all participants and volunteers.
Strollers (no scooters or bikes) are indeed allowed! This is indeed a family event. However we asked that strollers and families start out in the back, again to ensure safety of all, especially our children red heart
Rain or Shine We Run!!!
