On December 5, 2026, race morning starts at Patriot Park along the paved, flat Little Pigeon Riverwalk, part of the Winterfest Wonders of Lights Trail. Every finisher gets a t-shirt and medal, and this event proudly supports the Pigeon Forge High School Foundation.

The Pigeon Forge Winterfest 5K is organized by the City's Special Events Department. This new community event features a morning course starting at Patriot Park along the Winterfest Wonders of Lights Walking Trail, a fully paved, mostly level out-and-back route approachable for runners and walkers of every ability. Race day also includes professional timing, finisher t-shirts, and finisher medals. The Kids Fun Run is a family-friendly race for our youngest runners, kicking off the morning at 7:00 AM 30 minutes before the 5K. The course covers two laps of the Little Pigeon Riverwalk at Patriot Park, giving kids a taste of race day in a short, manageable distance. Open to kids ages 12 and under. If you're also registered for the 5K, you're welcome to run alongside your child in the Fun Run beforehand plenty of time to finish up and get to the 5K start line by 7:30 AM.
