Get ready for the 46th Annual Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run™ on Saturday, January 24, 2026, in the charming town of International Falls, Minnesota, famously known as the Icebox of the Nation! This exhilarating winter event invites brave participants to lace up their running shoes and tackle either the 5K or the 10K race. For the truly adventurous, there's the option to conquer both distances! The fun kicks off at the Backus Community Center, with check-in and bib pickup available on Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Join fellow runners for a morning filled with excitement as the 5K starts at 10:00 AM, followed by the 10K at 10:00 AM. Don’t miss the delicious pancake feed hosted by the Falls Education Foundation from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM—a perfect way to fuel up for your race! After the finish line, celebrate your achievements at the awards ceremony at 11:30 AM. Every participant will receive a commemorative medal, and while race fees no longer include a t-shirt, you can purchase one to commemorate your chilly experience. With plenty of activities and a lively atmosphere, the Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run is a must

The Freeze Yer Gizzard Blizzard Run is the zaniest winter running event in North America! Only the bold run the cold in this famous little northern border town of International Falls, Minnesota [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Falls,_Minnesota] - aka the Icebox of the Nation! Choose between the 5K or the 10K - or if you are really tough....run both. The legendary Gizzard Girls will be on hand to register, assist and cheer on all racers! We hope to see all the runners at the Runners Reception after the race!
