Join us for the 4th Annual Old Fort Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 2024, in Old Fort, McDowell. This fun event offers participants the opportunity to run, jog, or walk starting at 8 am. The finisher table will be stocked with prizes for athletes to choose from. Registration is free, with donations being accepted online or via check made out to Mission Ministries Alliance. All funds raised go directly to supporting individuals affected by homelessness in McDowell County. The race will start and finish at the Hillman Beer gravel parking area on Commerce Street. Pre-order your Thanksgiving Turkey Trot shirt for $15 to guarantee your size. Contact Jeannie Conner to secure your shirt and payment. If you prefer to write a check, it should be made out to: Mission Ministries Alliance and can be submitted on race day. Funds go directly to Mission Ministries Alliance. Mission Ministries Alliance improves the lives of people affected by homelessness, providing emergency shelter, housing services, counseling, rehabilitation, and crisis assistance in McDowell County. If you donate, you will receive a letter of recognition for being a warrior in our fight against homelessness in McDowell County.
