Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas is hosting the ultimate test of speed and spirit with their annual Superhero 5K Freedom Run on Saturday, March 14, 2026!
We're taking over the gorgeous O.P. Schnabel Park in San Antonio for a day of high-flying fun dedicated to fighting addiction and saving futures.
This isn't just a race; it's a full-blown superhero showdown!

All proceeds benefit Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas, a nonprofit residential program helping men, women family and teens overcome life controlling issues for almost 55 years.
Adult men and women, 18 years and older, enter into Adult & Teen Challenge of Texas' residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers to break-away from life-controlling addictions.
We maintain three men's and two women's campuses, a campus for women and children, and a men's and women's transitional-living center at locations throughout Texas, to include: Azle, Brenham, Houston, Magnolia, and San Antonio.

Course Details
The 5k Freedom Run course at O.P. Schnabel Park offers a scenic and dynamic experience, taking participants through an area of beautiful, natural landscapes. The course is a hybrid of paved asphalt and rustic dirt or gravel trails, featuring "technical" yet "flowy and fast" single-track sections that provide a refreshing shaded environment. Runners should prepare for a varied terrain that is not entirely flat, as the route includes rolling hills with climbs and descents that contribute to an easy-to-moderate difficulty level. This combination of scenic views and engaging elevation changes makes for a rewarding run through one of San Antonio's most picturesque parks.
