Descend _650 FEET BELOW_ the earths surface and race through the shadowy tunnels of a real salt mine, lit by flickering lanterns and eerie candlelight, every twist and turn feels like a step deeper into the unknown
Join us on _OCTOBER 31ST_ at _8:00 AM_ for _STRATACAS ANNUAL 5K MONSTER DASH_: Underworld Awakening, where the air is chillingly still, shadows stretch along the salt walls, and you never quite know whats lurking just beyond your light.
Come in costume and embrace your place among the creatures of the underworld! Whether youre a classic vampire, crypt keeper, or something entirely unearthly, the most fang-tastic looks may earn a devilishly good surprise.
THIS ISNT YOUR AVERAGE 5K
Youll need a helmet (bike helmets work great) and a light source headlamps or flashlights are highly recommended to guide your way through the underground darkness.
Helmets are required and will be inspected by staff before entry.
warning PLEASE NOTE:
The first 200 runners to register will receive a limited-edition Monster Dash T-shirt and a Finisher Medal.
Once the 200 medal limit is reached, additional registrations will not include a medal.
T-shirt sizes may be limited after the first 150 registrants and will be distributed first-come, first-served at check-in.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
* No one under 8 may enter. Ages 818 must be accompanied by an adult.
* Select your starting heat when registering limited to 30 participants per heat.
* Run or walk, but walkers should choose an earlier heat. Anyone still on the course at 12:00 PM will be escorted to the finish.
* This is a fun run, clocks will be located at the start and finish for self-timing.
* Arrive at least 15 minutes before your heat to pick up your race packet. Late arrivals may be moved to the final heat.
