Join us for the 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk for Diabetes on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, in the beautiful Raeford, Hoke! This exciting event, hosted by CAFY, Inc. and the Hoke County Blazers, promises a day filled with fun and community spirit. The race kicks off at 9:00 AM from the parking lot of Cape Fear Valley, located at 300 Medical Pavilion Dr. Participants will enjoy a scenic route along Johnson Mill Rd, turning around at Hwy 401, and finishing back at the starting point.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a leisurely walk, this event welcomes everyone aged 8 to 80. Don't miss your chance to earn a medal as one of the top 10 participants in each gender! Plus, all pre-registered participants will receive a stylish race t-shirt if registered by October 14, 2023, with custom printing available on-site. Organiser's Description
CAFY, Inc. and the Hoke County Blazers hosts its 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk for Diabetes. The race will begin in the parking lot of Cape Fear Valley at 300 Medical Pavillion Dr in Raeford, NC. Participants will run or walk down Johnson Mill Rd, turn right at Phillipi Church Rd, turn around at Hwy 401 and finish the race in the same place it began. Bib pick-up opens at 8:00 am. Race begins at 9:00 am. Top 10 participants in each gender will receive medals. All pre-registered participants will receive a race t-shirt if registered by October 14, 2023. Custom printing available on-site.
The race will have F.A.T. timing. This will be a fun event for ages 8-80. Come on out and have a good time with us!
Proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at Cape Fear Valley.
