This uplifting event honors the 6,000 African American women who lose their battle with breast cancer each year, providing a platform for celebration, remembrance, and community support. Participants will enjoy a scenic, untimed 3-mile walk—approximately 6000 steps—dedicated to breast cancer survivors and loved ones lost to this disease.
In addition to the walk, attendees can explore a vibrant health expo featuring healthcare and healthy living exhibitors, all aimed at promoting breast health education and survivor support programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Registration is open for ages 12 and older, with fees set at $35 for adults and $25 for students. Don't miss out on the chance to create special keepsake tributes with In Honor/In Memory signs. Be sure to register by September 1st to receive a commemorative T-shirt and make your fundraising efforts count for individual and team awards! Sisters Network Dallas Inc., 6000 SISTERS, 6000 STEPS FOR HOPE, BREAST CANCER WALK AND HEALTH EXPO, "IT'S NOT JUST PINK IT'S PERSONAL" spotlights the 6,000 African American women who lose their fight with breast cancer in the United States each year. This event is a celebration of life for friends and family who are breast cancer survivors, an opportunity to remember loved ones lost to breast cancer, a chance to enjoy a fun healthy 3 mile (untimed) walk (approx. 6000 steps), and an opportunity to visit with healthcare and healthy living exhibitors.
Proceeds from the walk support Sisters Network Dallas Inc. programs providing survivor support, screenings and breast health education in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
NO PETS ALLOWED AT THE EVENT
FEES: Adult $35
Student (12-18) $25
