605 RUN CREW TRACK PROGRAM
_A 6-Week Training Experience Designed for Every Runner_

The 605 Run Crew Track Program is a structured, supportive, and community-focused 6-week training series designed to help runners build confidence, improve speed, learn proper technique, and deepen their enjoyment of the sport. Whether you're new to the track or looking to sharpen your workouts, this program provides the coaching, education, and connection to take your running to the next level.

This program is built by the 605 Coaching Team through our Coaching Pillar initiativeemphasizing individualized coaching, group development, purposeful workouts, and ongoing education.


PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Duration: 6 weeks
Dates: April 7th - May 12th
Location: Harrisburg East (final schedule pending facility coordination)
Day & Time: Tuesday evenings at 6:05pm

Each session follows a structured, runner-friendly format balancing training, instruction, and connection:

* Welcome & check-in
* Community-building warm-up
* Dynamic drills & running form instruction
* Track-based workout designed for all ability levels
* Cooldown, reflection, and optional coach-led motivation talk
* Our program blends systemized coaching with a fun, approachable environment. We meet you where you areno pace is too slow, and no experience is required.


WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK
The program progresses in a thoughtful, intentional arc to build confidence and capability:

WEEK 1: INTRODUCTION & COMFORT BUILDING
A structured, formulaic first session to help ease nerves, learn track basics, and get to know the group. Includes icebreakers, simple drills, and time-based running to ensure everyone starts together.

WEEK 2: ADAPTATION
Focusing on getting comfortable with consistent, repeatable track sessions. Continued emphasis on technique and pacing without pressure.

WEEK 3: KEY RUNNING TERMS & CONCEPTS
Understanding language used in training (effort levels, intervals, recovery) and applying them in a practical workout.

WEEK 4: TRACK VS. ROAD RUNNING
How these environments differ and how to use the track effectively. Includes controlled speed and form work.

WEEK 5: SPEED DEVELOPMENT
Time-based tempo work, fartlek-style sessions, and optional relays to build camaraderie and confidence. No excessively long track reps (no 1200s or beyond) to ensure accessibility for all.

WEEK 6: LONG-TERM APPLICATION
Using what you've learned to build lasting habits. This session ties everything together and prepares runners to take their new skills into summer racing, group runs, or personal training plans.
