Organiser's Description
The ECU Smiles for Veterans Patient Care Fund, established in 2021, was created to help the estimated 92% of veterans who do not have access to dental VA benefits. Many of those are low-income patients who do not have access to other types of dental insurance. The ECU Smiles for Veterans Patient Care Fund provides assistance to those who require emergency treatment at Ross Hall or at one of our clinics across the state. Oral health care is vital to overall health, but is often overlooked because of the cost. Your gift will help us address the needs of these veterans and help them find a dental home so that we can continue to help and care for those who have served us and our country.

Please arrive 30 min prior to race start date to ensure you can pick up your T-shirt, bib, and wrist band. RULES FOR 5K RUCK: There will be a weigh station at the registration tent on Day of Race. Please bring your rucksack to be weighed prior to the start of race. We only ask that your rucksack be at least 25lbs. **If you would like to ruck more weight we ask that you follow the general rule that your loaded backpacking pack should not weigh more than 20 percent of your body weight.**
