Join us for the 7th Annual Minnesota 5K SCADaddle for Research on May 1-2, 2026, in the beautiful surroundings of Battle Creek Regional Park, St. Paul, Ramsey. This uplifting event kicks off with a special SCAD Social Reunion and Dinner on May 1, featuring Dr. Marysia Tweet from the Mayo Clinic, who will share the latest research on Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD), an important cause of heart attacks in women and new mothers.
On May 2, lace up your sneakers for the SCADaddle 5K Fun Run/Walk, which begins at 9:00 AM. Experience the winding trails of Ramsey County's stunning natural landscape while supporting vital research for SCAD. This family-friendly event includes activities for kids, vendor shopping, and post-race snacks, plus medals for participants! Donβt forget to register by April 10 to secure this year's event t-shirt. Come together with survivors, supporters, and the community as we raise awareness and funds for SCAD researchβlet's make a difference together!

Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms. Although less common, it can affect men too. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.

Join us by registering for the SCADaddle 5K!
Our 5K trail Fun Run/Walk takes place at Battle Creek Regional Park on winding trails through natural areas that offer a spectacular look at Ramsey County's diverse landscape.
This event has a community feel with kid's activities and a playground all while shopping the vendors including our SCAD store and enjoying some race snacks. We will also have a brief welcome announcing our sponsors, supporters and survivors!
Race bibs will be given out for fun and runners & walkers will be awarded a medal.
Register by April 10th to guarantee this year's t-shirt!

SCAD SOCIAL REUNION & DINNER
We are honored to have Dr. Marysia Tweet from the Mayo Clinic to join us for the SCAD Social Reunion and the SCADaddle on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Doubletree by Hilton, St. Paul East (please note that this is a different location than previous years). Dr. Tweet will present the latest research findings on Friday evening and answer questions as time permits. Dr. Marysia Tweet is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cardiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, within the Division of Ischemic Heart Disease and Critical Care and the Division of Cardiovascular Ultrasound. The research interests of Dr. Tweet include the study cardiovascular disease in women and acute coronary syndromes, particularly those caused by spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). Dr. Tweet helped to develop and is currently active in the multidisciplinary Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program,
Join other SCAD Survivors, their supporters, and Angel Families for a night to meet, eat and learn! An adult dinner and kids' meal will be included in the Reunion final cost!
5-6 pm - Reunion start time! The event will begin with early 5K packet pickup (3-6) and our meet & greet. Shop our SCAD store and meet others impacted by SCAD.
6-9:00pm - Dinner and Presentation - Welcoming remarks, dinner and Dr. Tweet will present Mayo Clinic's latest research findings and answer questions as time permits.

We couldn't do this event without our volunteers! We need lots of help at all times of the day. This is perfect for anyone wanting to attend but not do the race or for National Honors Society students needing their volunteer hours!
