Join us for the inaugural ACOG on the Move event on Friday, May 1, 2026, a vibrant celebration of community and health set against the stunning backdrop of the Potomac River. Participants can choose to run or walk a scenic 5 kilometers or a 1-mile course, starting from the Carderock Cliffs North Parking Lot and following the picturesque C & O Towpath. This exciting event is more than just a race; it’s an opportunity to contribute to better care and brighter futures for ob-gyn patients while inspiring others along the way.
Bus transportation will be available starting at 5 a.m. to ensure everyone gets to the race site with ease. Following the event, participants can catch a return bus to the Washington Convention Center beginning at 6:30 a.m. If you're not able to join us but still want to make a difference, consider making an online donation. The ACOG Foundation is dedicated to advancing prenatal, maternal, reproductive, and gynecologic care, so you can feel great about being part of this meaningful endeavor. Join ACOG Foundation for its inaugural ACOG ON THE MOVE event -- your chance to be a part of a community running toward better care and brighter futures for ob-gyn patients! Make every stride count.
Take a break from ACSM activities to run or walk 5 kilometers or 1 mile along the beautiful Potomac River. The course will start in the Carderock Cliffs North Parking Lot and go along the C & O Towpath. Bus transportation will begin at 5 a.m. to transport to the race site. Exact location from the Washington Convention Center for pickup and drop off will be communicated to all who have registered. After completion of the race, buses will be transporting participants back to the convention center beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Those who want to sleep in instead of attending the race have the option to donate online.
The ACOG Foundation promotes charitable, educational, and scientific initiatives that enable ACOG members and their colleagues to improve the lives of all people seeking ob-gyn care, their families, and their communities.
