Get ready to kick off Thanksgiving with the 16th Annual Adirondack Health 5K Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, in beautiful Lake Placid, Essex! This festive event starts at 8:30 am from the Beach House and features a flat 5K course around the scenic Mirror Lake. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to give back, this Turkey Trot is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors while supporting a good cause.
With all proceeds benefiting local food pantries and Adirondack Health's Fit for Life Program, your participation makes a difference! Expect a lively atmosphere, with over 600 participants anticipated this year. Don’t forget to bring three or more non-perishable food items to donate! Every registered participant will receive a long-sleeve Turkey Trot t-shirt, and there are prizes for the top three finishers in both male and female categories. Kids aged 10 and under can join the fun for free, receiving a bib and a special prize at the finish line. Join us for a morning of fitness, fun, and community spirit this Thanksgiving Day!

Join us for Adirondack Health's 16th Annual Turkey Trot 2025! This flat 5K walk/run starts at 8:30 am on Thursday, November 27th (Thanksgiving Day) at the Beach House in Lake Placid, NY. ALL proceeds from the event will benefit the Local Food Pantries and Adirondack Health's Fit for Life Program.
Please join us...we are anticipating over 600 participants this year! ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A LONG-SLEEVE TURKEY TROT T-SHIRT!
Check in and pick up your bib/T-shirt Wednesday, Nov 26th at the Beach House in Lake Placid 4-6 p.m. OR Thursday, Nov 27th from 6:30-8am at the Beach House.
Please bring 3(or more) non-perishable food items!
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place overall male and female finishers. If you can "stuff the turkey," or, in other words, beat the mystery Turkey Runner to the finish line, you can receive bragging rights at your Thanksgiving table and an award(a yummy one)!

Kids 10 and under run/walk/stroll FREE and will receive a bib at packet pick-up! And ALL kids 10 and under will receive a prize at the finish line! No need to register them online UNLESS you would like them to receive a Turkey Trot t-shirt!
