Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving Day with a spirited community tradition at the 16th Annual Adirondack Health 5K Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 27th, 2025! Taking place in the picturesque Lake Placid, Essex, this flat and scenic 5K walk/run starts at 8:30 AM at the Beach House, circling the stunning Mirror Lake. With over 600 participants expected, this event promises to be a lively celebration of health, community, and giving back, as all proceeds will benefit the Local Food Pantry and the Fit for Life Scholarship Fund.
Participants can check in and collect their bibs and long-sleeve Turkey Trot t-shirts on Wednesday, November 26th from 4-6 PM or on race day from 6:30-8 AM, where you'll be greeted by festive 12-foot inflatable turkeys! Don't forget to bring at least three non-perishable food items to contribute to those in need. Compete for glory as prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, and if you're quick enough to outrun the mystery Turkey Runner, you could earn some delicious bragging rights!
