Get ready for a festive and fun-filled morning at the 17th Annual Adirondack Health 5k Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 26, 2026, in beautiful Lake Placid, Essex! This exciting event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. at the Beach House, featuring a flat 5K course around the scenic Mirror Lake. Anticipating over 600 participants, this community-centered trot invites runners and walkers of all ages to join in the Thanksgiving spirit while supporting a great cause. All proceeds will benefit the Local Food Pantry and the Fit for Life Scholarship Fund, making your participation even more meaningful.
Be sure to arrive early for check-in and bib pickup on November 25 from 4-6 p.m. or on race day from 6:30-8 a.m. Don't forget to bring three or more non-perishable food items to help those in need! Every registered participant will receive a long-sleeve Turkey Trot t-shirt, and special prizes await the top finishers and those who can outpace the mystery Turkey Runner. ALL proceeds from the event will benefit the Local Food Pantry and Adirondack Health's Fit for Life Scholarship Fund.
Please join us...we are anticipating over 600 participants this year! ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE A LONG-SLEEVE TURKEY TROT T-SHIRT!

PLEASE BRING 3(OR MORE) NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS!
Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place overall male and female finishers. If you can "stuff the turkey," or, in other words, beat the mystery Turkey Runner to the finish line, you can receive bragging rights at your Thanksgiving table and an award(a yummy one)!
