This exciting event kicks off at 8 AM with a new start/finish location at 325 N Douty Street, conveniently situated between Superior Dairy and Civic Center Park. Join the fun with a scenic 5K race or opt for the 3K fun walk, perfect for participants of all ages. Kids are welcome to join in the excitement with their own races, featuring a 1/4 mile and a 1/2 mile fun race, and they can also participate in the 3K walk or the 5K alongside family!
The Turkey Trot promises a festive atmosphere with the chance to win medals for the top 20 male and female finishers in the 5K. Plus, gather your friends and family to compete for the coveted Biggest Flock Award, with a fun twist of a Best Dressed tie-breaker! Don’t miss out on the action and camaraderie—packet pickup is available on November 25th and 26th from 9 AM to 6 PM, and early birds can grab their packets on Thanksgiving morning

NEW THIS YEAR: START/FINISH LOCATION, 3K FUN WALK, AND KIDS RACES!!
**KIDS THAT RUN IN THE "KIDS RACE" CAN ALSO WALK THE 3K, OR RUN/WALK THE 5K WITH FAMILY**
WHAT: The Turkey Trot is back (organized by Champions Recovery Alternative Services), and we cant wait to see you! Come join the fun on Thanksgiving morning in beautiful downtown Hanford.
WHEN: Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 8 AM. (Kids Races will start at 7:30am) - Rain or Shine.
WHERE: Our New Start/Finish Line, 325 N Douty Street (Between Superior Dairy & Civic Center Park), in Hanford. Same 5K Route, just a BIGGER Race Finish Line Venue to Cheer, Support, Meet Up, and Hang Out with your family and friends!
This course is scenic, and will take you around downtown; before the 5K splits and does an out-an-back on Douty Street, and the 3K Walkers return to the Finish Line!
MEDALS: Medals will be awarded to our Top 20 Male & Top 20 Female 5K Finishers, must be registered in the 5K chip timed race!
KIDS RACES: 1/4 Mile Fun Race, and 1/2 Mile Fun Race.

On Thanksgiving Morning, we will open at 6:30 AM. To avoid long lines and a late start the day of the race, please pick up your packet early!
RACE BENEFITS: Champions Recovery Alternative Programs, Inc., a local community-based organization dedicated to nurturing a healthier Kings County.
