Join us for the 3rd Annual Alamosa Veterans Memorial Park Race on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, in the beautiful city of Alamosa, Colorado! This exciting event kicks off Veteran's Week with a heartfelt salute to our veterans while raising funds for Alamosa's Veterans Memorial Park. Participants can choose between two exhilarating race distances: a 5k or a 10k, with the 10k race looping the 5k course twice. Both races will start and finish at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center, located at 2222 Old Sanford Rd.
This family-friendly event welcomes walkers, runners, and strollers, making it a perfect outing for everyone to enjoy. After the races, indulge in delicious food and drinks at the post-race celebration, where an awards ceremony will honor the participants. Plus, all race registrants will receive a long sleeve running shirt and post-race refreshments. Organiser's Description
A salute to Vets to kick off Veteran's Week and to raise funds for Alamosa's Veterans Memorial Park. Join us for the 3rd Annual Veterans Memorial Park Race. 5k and 10k race options are available. The race will start and end at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center, 2222 Old Sanford Rd, Alamosa, CO 81101. The 10k race repeats 5k lap twice. The race route is to be determined and will be posted as soon as it's finalized. Food, drinks, and an awards ceremony will follow the race. Walkers, runners, and strollers are welcome!. Families are also welcome to have some fun and cheer on the runners/walkers!
Proceeds from race registration fees go towards supporting the Alamosa Veterans Memorial Park. Race registration includes a long sleeve running shirt and post-race refreshments.
