The Foundation For Allen Schools is announcing the _CANCELLATION OF THE ALLEN EAGLE RUN SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, MARCH 7, DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER FORECASTS. _
Forecasts indicate severe thunderstorms are expected Friday evening and Saturday morning. These conditions limit the ability of volunteers to safely set up the race and may create dangerous conditions for runners, participants, students, and volunteers during the event. The forecasted storms may bring lightning, hail, and/or tornadoes into the area.
Safety remains the top priority for the Foundation For Allen Schools. Based on the forecast and potential risks, the decision was made to cancel the event to protect all participants and volunteers. Due to logistical limitations, a backup date is not available.
